Brazier Homestead - Euchareena

This magnificent property in Central Western NSW had the advantage of having its beautiful garden fully developed before the house was even built.  The owners lived in a very comfortable barn next door while they built the homestead themselves.  Recovered railway bridge timbers were used as the main framing & clay from the dam in the home paddock was use to render the masonry walls.  The natural charm is a tribute to the owners & to the resourcefulness of their farming family.  Designed early in Angus Crowe's career, the house has been featured in House & Garden some time ago.

"Angus, you have a wonderful design ability. Our house is now thirteen years on & it all works beautifully with it's open plan, warmth and softness due to the use of large timbers. You were always open to suggestions that differed from your own views and would compromise if you thought appropriate. We loved our time being advised by such a great Architect" - Cecily & Waddy Brazier.
